At Hand in Hand, I’ve built so many beautiful connections with my buddies and my peers.
As I enter my fourth year volunteering at Hand in Hand, I’ve come to fully experience the power in kindness, in the small actions and words that change a person’s day.
Every week brings new adventures, inside jokes, and heartwarming moments that bring smiles to everyone’s faces.
I absolutely love Hand in Hand and the joy it brings every week!

Hand in Hand has been one of the most transformative experiences of my life. Every week, I’m reminded that volunteering isn’t just about giving time—it’s about creating moments of connection that linger long after each event ends.
Through Hand in Hand, I’ve learned that compassion doesn’t always need words; sometimes it’s found in a shared laugh, a quiet gesture, or the joy of simply showing up for someone else.
What makes this community so special is how naturally empathy flows between everyone involved.
Each event feels less like a program and more like a family gathering, where kindness is instinctive and every person—regardless of background or ability—belongs.
As a planner and volunteer, I’ve watched strangers become friends and witnessed how understanding can dissolve barriers that once seemed unshakable.Hand in Hand has changed the way I see service.
It’s no longer something I do—it’s something I live. It’s a reminder that the smallest acts of care can ripple outward, touching lives in ways we may never fully see.
Every week, I walk away humbled, grateful, and reminded that empathy, at its purest, has the power to build a more human world.

As a senior, this is my fourth year volunteering at Hand in Hand! I’ve really enjoyed growing my relationship with my buddy over the years.
Doing the different classes, including art, dance, and taekwondo, together with him makes me so happy.
I love being able to come here every Saturday to not only help my buddy with art and physical skills, but for myself to learn how to communicate with people with different abilities.

As a mother of a child with disabilities and a volunteer at Hand in Hand,
I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for this wonderful place.
It means so much to know that there is a safe and welcoming space where children with disabilities, who are often left out in society, can come and truly belong.
The variety of classes offered here are of such high quality,
and I am always touched by how sincerely the teachers and student volunteers
give their best in every activity.
From dance, small drum dance, taekwondo, and games to joyful sessions of music and art,
our children can learn, move, and express themselves with happiness.
For this, I thank God with all my heart.
Even within the same family, understanding disabilities can be difficult, but through volunteering here, my older child has learned to see and embrace differences with deeper understanding and compassion.
I am so grateful that Hand in Hand provides a space where people with and without disabilities can come together,
learn from one another, and enjoy precious time as one community.
Special thanks to Teacher Jiwon, Teacher Janice , and all the other dedicated instructors who give their time every Saturday morning.
May God bless each of you abundantly for your love and service.
