Hand in Hand: A Support Program for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities
‘Hand in Hand’ is a Saturday program that serves as a space for learning and socializing for individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly those who are beyond school age. It aims to help participants develop their own potential.
Founded in 2009 in the San Diego area, the program provides families of individuals with disabilities much-needed time and mental relief, while also helping them regain confidence in their children’s abilities. In addition, it strives to improve public awareness of individuals with developmental disabilities in the community and provide meaningful opportunities for service, contributing to the creation of a warm and inclusive society.
To achieve these goals, Hand in Hand offers various classes every Saturday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, including Taekwondo, tap dance, rhythm exercises, art, crafts, and origami, games.
